Chinedu Stephen (not real name), a Nigerian based in Atlanta, United States, has accused Adelove, a popular Nigerian-owned auto shipping company based in the US, of duping him out of $1200 (about N500,000).
Stephen said he had paid for the shipment of his car, a 2009 Corolla which cost $4,500 (over N1.8 million), to Lagos since July 1, but nothing has been done.
“Surprisingly, months after payment, there has been no word from the management about the delivery of the car. I went to the office to complain, but I met it locked,” he told FIJ.
“What was more shocking was when I learnt the company was auctioning customers’ cars for sale.”

“I reported him here in Dallas, but the police said this was not a case they could arbitrate because I had driven the car to the company myself, which signifies consent. And also, because Adelove Shipping is not a registered business in the state, there is nothing they can do.”
