Adisa Kamaldeen, a Lagos-based businessman, has accused Access Bank of refusing to return his N40,000 after dispense errors on April 14 and June 30.
Kamaldeen told FIJ that he had wanted to use the money urgently and that he used his GTB card on the Access Bank machine on both occasions.

“On April 14, I tried to withdraw, but the money didn’t come out, and they charged me N20,000. When I complained to my bank, they said they would reach out to Access Bank and get back to me,” he said.
Kamaldeen told FIJ that when GTB got back to him, he was taken aback by Access Bank’s claim.
“Access Bank told GTB that the transaction was successful. GTB asked me to request for CCTV footage so they could further investigate the matter,” he said.
Just when Kamaldeen was processing the CCTV footage, he attempted to withdraw N20,000 at the same location and he suffered the same fate again.
“As I am speaking to you now, I am in the bank to complain. The transaction errors have not been resolved, and again, I have lost another N20,000,” said Kamaldeen.

Kamaldeen said every time he went to the bank to lodge complaints, he was told they were working on it, but the money has not been returned.
FIJ placed several calls to Cornelius Onouha, a GTB spokesperson, for comments, but they were not answered. A message sent to him had also not been responded to at press time.
