The #EndBadGovernance protest has hit Day 10, with residents of Abuja marching through the Apo area of the country’s capital on Saturday morning.
The protesters, FIJ gathered, were bearing placards and banners with inscriptions such as: ‘Nigerians are tired of bad leaders’, and chanting in opposition to harsh economic policies that have raised the cost of living.
This, they did, despite security agencies’ brutal opposition to public demonstrations since the protest began on August 1.

Across the country, the police and military have fired teargas and shot live ammunition at protesters, felling no fewer than 22 persons.
They have also watched as hoodlums harassed and assaulted protesters and journalists reporting on the protest.
In Abuja, the protest has been kept alive for 10 consecutive days with groups like Take It Back Movement (TIB) and Enough is Enough campaign (EiE) playing pivotal roles.
On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu made a public address to Nigerians, describing the protest as politically motivated. He said security agencies would react.
What followed was the police declaring protests illegal in Lagos, the army admitting to shooting a boy in Kaduna, and several other attacks on protesters nationwide.
