BigiBet has credited some of its users who were unable to withdraw their moneys from the platform.

This followed an FIJ report detailing how punters who bet on the platform had been unable to withdraw their winnings since July.

Michael Frank, a BigiBet user who won in September but could not withdraw the money for months, told FIJ his account was credited following the report.

“I am very grateful,” Frank told FIJ. “Thank you very much for your help. I got my money back yesterday evening.”

On September 18, Frank put his money on some games and won N600,000. However, he could not withdraw the money, even after calling BigiBet’s customer care and emailing them several times.

Frank received his winnings on Friday

Taiwo Olugbemi, another BigiBet user, told FIJ he received his long-held winnings after the story.

Taiwo had won a total of N51,000 from three different stakes between November 4 and 7. However, he could not withdraw his winnings.

“I was amazed when I got the alert,” Olugbemi said. “There are many others who have their winnings withheld.”

Vivi Eke, a frequent user of BigiBet, got his money a few hours after FIJ published the report. “BigiBet has just credited my account,” she said. “So I have been paid.”

On Thursday, FIJ reported that for several months, BigiBet held on to the winnings of gamblers, some of whom staked huge amounts.
