Exam Planet Success, an educational firm in Ibadan, has taken steps to address a refund issue involving Oluwafunmito Babatunde, the Ibadan resident whose money was withheld for months.

Babatunde told FIJ the firm made a partial payment of N50,000 within 24 hours after FIJ published a story on the company’s refusal to return her N115,000 despite failing to register her for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

Expressing her gratitude for the intervention, Babatunde stated, “Based on your publication, Exam Planet Success has refunded N50,000 out of the N115,000 with them. My balance remains N60,000. Thank you for your intervention, FIJ,” she said.

FIJ had reported that Babatunde paid Exam Planet Success N215,000 in November 2022 for GMAT registration.

However, the firm failed to fulfil its obligations and only refunded N100,000 in February after Babatunde used a dash of madness to draw attention to her plight.

She said that despite her continued efforts to contact the company and demand the balance, the firm did not respond to her until FIJ intervened.

Thankfully, after FIJ’s involvement, the educational consulting firm has now taken action by refunding a portion of Babatunde’s money. The company has also assured her that the balance will be settled in the coming days.
