Festus Basil, a self-acclaimed entrepreneur and CEO of Bas Wealth World Ltd., has made a N500,000 partial refund to Uchechi Ewiwilem, an Ebonyi State-based businesswoman.

This came five months after FIJ reported how Ewiwilem paid Basil N1,019,000 for the supply of 50 units of kerosene burner stoves on May 30, 2022, but didn’t get the cooking devices as promised.

Basil also would not refund the money he took from Ewiwilem, and this went on for close to two years.

“He made the part refund on June 30,” Ewiwilem told FIJ on Friday evening.

“He has not categorically stated when he is going to pay me the remaining N519,000, but I am hoping that would be soon.

“Thank you, FIJ, for all the things you do. Thank you for helping me. I hope the remaining balance is paid to me soon.”

After Basil received the sum in 2022, he became elusive, prompting Ewiwilem to visit most of the office addresses he had posted online to see if she could get her money back from him.

The exercise, however, proved futile as Basil could not be found in all the addresses he claimed his offices were at.

I will like to share a news on legal matter with your organization with possible publication.

I love to read stories like this, but my own case with Amijcoo is still there unsolved. Please let FIJ help me out by making another effort
