Green Africa Air has refunded N67,000 to Simileoluwa Ogunsusi, an Abuja-based contractor whose money they held for three months.

This came barely 12 hours after FIJ reported how the airline company failed to refund Ogunsusi, months after she cancelled her flight with them.

“Thank you FIJ for stepping in to resolve my issues with Green Africa yesterday. About an hour after you published my complaints, they responded and refunded me,” she told FIJ.

FIJ reported on Monday that Ogunsusi booked a flight with the airline company in the first week of April and was scheduled to travel on April 24. However, her flight from Abuja to Benin and back did not happen because the airline kept rescheduling the flight.

She said she cancelled her flight with Green Africa Airways and requested a refund after the company kept rescheduling her travel.

According to the contractor, Green Africa Airways promised to refund her money within 20 working days but failed to do so for three months.

“I have been on this case for three months now. I have sent emails back and forth on the issue. Thank you, FIJ, for your intervention. I got my refund from Green Africa Airways,” she said.
