Green Africa Airways has finally made a refund of N47,500 to Daniel Yohanna, a customer whose flight was cancelled in December 2021.

The payment was for the flight ticket fare the customer had booked, while planning to travel from Lagos to Owerri with the airline during the period.

Yohanna confirmed receipt of the refund to FIJ on Thursday.

“Green Africa Airways finally refunded my money. Thanks for your concern and immense support,” an excited Yohanna said.

FIJ had earlier reported how the passenger’s scheduled flight was cancelled, less than 24 hours to departure time, in December 2021.

The airline would then present the passenger with the options of either rescheduling his flight or requesting for a refund.

When Yohanna eventually chose the refund option, the airline would delay repayment for more than three months.

When FIJ contacted Green Africa to confirm the reason for the three-month delay, the company did not respond, but it later confirmed the complaint was logged, and promised a resolution.
