Sekinat Morenikeji Alabi, an Instagram vendor with the business name ‘Apparel by Lumen Fashion House’, has returned N12,000 to Bola Adeniji (not real name), one of her customers.

This came 21 days after FIJ reported that the vendor refused to deliver the items Bola had ordered and paid for since June 7.

Bola had told FIJ that she ordered some turtleneck tops for N10,400 (delivery charges added) with the understanding that they would be delivered in two days, but two months passed and still no delivery.

In a WhatsApp conversation seen by FIJ, the vendor requested that the customer select another item because “she was out of cash and would not be able to make a refund”.

“I sent her the link to the story by FIJ on WhatsApp, but she didn’t say anything, so I sent the same link to one of her comment sections on Instagram.

“She entered my DM and asked that I put down the story after she paid me, and didn’t say anything again to me.

“I gave her space for a while, and two weeks later, she sent me the screenshot of the receipt of payment.
