Overland Airways has refunded the sum of N226,000 to Cecilia Abiodun, an Ibadan-based woman whose flight was cancelled in April.

This came after FIJ’s report detailing how the company cancelled Abiodun’s flight and held on to her money for another month.

She told FIJ that she received N226,000 from Overland Airways on May 15, five days after FIJ’s report.

Expressing her gratitude, Abiodun said, “I appreciate your kind support. Overland Airways has refunded me. Thank you, and God bless you.”

FIJ had reported how Abiodun booked a two-way Ibadan-Abuja ticket with Overland Airways in February. She was supposed to travel in April, but the company canceled the flight a few days before her departure.

Abiodun booked another flight to Abuja, and upon her return on April 10, she requested a refund from Overland Airways.

Despite filling out and submitting a form sent to her by the company to enable them to process the refund, she got nothing until FIJ intervened.
