Pryme Financials, an online finance company, has refunded graphics artist Amos Oladapo’s N450,000 less than two weeks after FIJ reported about his funds stuck in the Pryme app.
On Thursday, Oladapo told FIJ that one of the company’s staff members reached out to him on Monday to ask him for an alternative account number so that his money could be refunded.
“So on Saturday, on the 8th of February 2025, Tunde, one of the staff of Pryme texted me to ask for an alternative account number, and then I sent it to him,” Oladapo told FIJ on Thursday.

“On Monday, I asked him for an update then he told me that some journalist called him to speak to him about the issues I had with Pryme and that’s why they are turning to attend to me.
“So without you people’s interventions I would still be on the internet ranting without anyone attending to (me).
“And they have still been ignoring my calls and texts. So, thank you very much for your help. Your influence did a lot.”

Oladapo was once a Pryme Financials staff member. He worked with Edoka Idoko, the company’s CEO.
When the issue with the app started in June, Oladapo did not know it would last for another eight months. His closeness with Idoko as a former worker made him believe that the glitch would be resolved in a jiffy. This confidence made him even deposit more funds in the app, accumulating up to N450,000.
In December, however, when he needed to withdraw his money, he noticed the issue with the app had not been resolved. The numerous assurances he got from Idoko and his complaint to Tunde, another staff of the organisation, were not enough to get his money out until FIJ reported the issue.
When FIJ spoke with Tunde before the first report, he confirmed that Oladapo used to work with them. He promised that the issue would soon be resolved.
Oladapo told FIJ that although the issue with the app had not been resolved, Tunde requested an alternative account from him to send the N450,000 stuck in the Pryme App for over eight months.

“I have received my money from them. I really appreciate your effort and work. Thank you so much,” Oladapo confirmed.
