The National Industrial Court has ordered university lecturers to put an end to their ongoing strike and return to the classroom.
Justice Polycarp Hamman, a vacation judge who gave the ruling on Wednesday, also asked that the case file be returned to the President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria for reassignment to another judge.
He said the order would be valid till the determination of a suit filed by the federal government, according to The Cable.
Also, James Igwe, counsel for the government, asked the court for an interlocutory injunction restraining ASUU from taking further steps as regards the strike pending the determination of the substantive suit.
