A high court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, has sentenced Rahmon Adedoyin, the owner of Hilton Hotel and Resorts, to death by hanging.
Apart from Adedoyin, Adeniyi Aderogba and Oyetunde Kazeem, two other staff working at the hotel, were also sentenced to death for the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a master’s student at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Three other defendants in the case, Magdalene Chiefuna, Lawrence Oluwole and Adedji Adesola, were discharged and acquitted for the various offences preferred against them by the prosecution.

The court was of the opinion that the offences for which they were charged did no go in tandem with the evidence elicited by the prosecution.
