The Department of State Services (DSS) and the Police are preventing members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) from gaining access to the Federal High Court for the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed group.

FIJ gathered from residents that the central area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is currently blocked by the influx of IPOB members into the city, and that there was panic created when policemen confronted members of the group outside the court.

There is currently heavy security presence at the court ahead of the trial of the IPOB leader.
