10.01.2022 news BREAKING: Gunmen Invade Enugu Communities With Multiple Gunshots

Gunmen are shooting sporadically and sending residents of Enugu State scampering for safety.

FIJ gathered that on Monday morning, gunshots fired in Holy Ghost, Agbani, Okpara Avenue and Gariki areas of the state disrupted normal activities as many ran for safety.

The identities of the gunmen and their motive are yet unclear, but security officials have been summoned.

When FIJ contacted Daniel Ekea, spokesman of the police in the state, he said he was unaware of the attacks, but promised to begin an investigation immediately.
