Micheal Otu, the collation officer for Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra, has narrated how violence stalled the governorship election in the axis.
Narrating his experience at the state collation centre in Akwa, Otu said he was dehumanised while carrying out his official duty on Saturday.
“I was made to sign the election papers under duress,” he said. ” I almost collapsed. I was locked in a toilet. As far as I’m concerned, there was no election in Orumba North.”
Although some party agents accused Uti of selling his conscience and cooking a false story, the collation officer insisted that his life was in danger, stressing that sporadic shooting stalled the election in Orumba North.
