A seven-member judicial panel of the Supreme Court has ordered the immediate recirculation of old N200, N500 and N1000 denominations of the naira until December 2023.
Delivering judgement on Friday, the court said the old N500 and N1000 notes which were discontinued on February 10 and the old N200 note which has an April 10 deadline would all remain valid until December 31.
This came after state governors took the Federal Government to court over the introduction of new naira notes and the invalidation of old naira notes.
