A newly surfaced CCTV footage confirmed the violent attack carried out by uniformed military officers at the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) headquarters in Alausa, Lagos.
The video, first published exclusively by Sahara Reporters, shows armed officers storming the premises, kicking down doors and barging into offices.

Some officers, wielding whips and fully kitted in military gear, were seen entering the offices without permission. One female employee was captured on camera fleeing toward the stairs.
The footage corroborates an FIJ report on March 6 which detailed how military personnel from the Sam Ethan Air Force Base in Ikeja invaded the electricity distribution company’s office.
The officers launched the assault after their base was disconnected from the power grid over unpaid electricity bills running into millions of naira.
An IE staff member, speaking anonymously to FIJ, described the ordeal: “Military officers from the Air Force Base came to our office this morning and assaulted our staff because power supply to their base was disconnected. They seized employees’ phones and even locked some of them inside. They blocked the road and prevented other people from accessing the office.”

The military officers did not stop at the Alausa headquarters. They also attacked an Ikeja Electric office on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Isolo, where employees were forced to kneel as the officers physically assaulted them.
The incident stemmed from a financial dispute over electricity bills. Media reports indicate that the Air Force Base had pledged to pay N60 million monthly in exchange for a daily electricity supply of 10 to 12 hours, but outstanding debts accumulated, prompting the disconnection.
The Nigerian military is yet to issue an official statement addressing the incident, while Ikeja Electric has also not released a formal response to the footage.
