An event planner, Johnbosco Ezeuchegbu, has been brutalised by students of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, over the failure of Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, popularly known as ‘investor Sabinus, to attend a widely-publicised show where he was to perform.
Ezeuchegbu, also called ‘Crazyleg’, said he and Sabinus had made a video of his coming to the event and that he had paid the comedian a sum of N2 million.
“Abeg, I paid Sabinus complete. He did confirm video for me. I paid for flight. I still booked extra flight,” Ezeuchegbu said in a video after he was at the receiving end of crowd angst.
“See my back now. Look at my hand, blood. I don’t know what I’m going to tell you people. I paid him complete. People are threatening me.”
Continuing, he said: “Since yesterday, I have been calling his line, Sabinus has not picked his calls and he did not send any message. They said he was on shoot when I have an event I had already paid him.”
Sabinus eventually reacted to the video, saying his health issues prevented him from attending the event.
“Good morning my Oko people. I know say una dey vex for me. Abeg make una no vex. I was supposed to come to Oko yesterday for the show with crazy leg,” he said.
“Some thing happened: my health was so bad. I just avoided the whole thing. I was being just afraid of make I know break down for road.”
He promised to come for the event before the first week of December, or better still refund Crazyleg’s money.
