A customer who doesn’t want to be named has narrated how Hair Cassle World, an Instagram hair vendor, duped her out of N43,500.

The customer told FIJ that the vendor ignored her on social media after she paid N43,500 for a wig she ordered on August 10.

“I wanted to buy a wig from a lady with the handle ‘hair_cassleworldbackup’ on Instagram on August 10. We spoke, and I chose the wig I wanted to order,” the customer said.

“That was my first time patronising her. I just used to see her posts on Instagram and some reviews on her page.”

The customer said the vendor explained the delivery process to her and assured her that her item would be delivered within 48 hours of payment.

“After explaining the delivery process to me, the vendor sent me her bank account details. I sent ₦43,500 for the wig and the delivery on that same day,” the customer said.

“Ever since then, I’ve not seen what I ordered. It has been one story or the other with her.”

“At a point, she stopped responding to me on Instagram, and the phone number on their page has not been going through, even though she still uploads pictures on her page.”

FIJ’s findings revealed that the vendor is a notorious Instagram scammer who has been called out previously by other victims on Twitter.

Taiwo Olumide Ogunsan, the vendor, had earlier been called out for scamming individuals with business handles like ‘deefab_signature‘, ‘deefab_signaturebackup,’ and ‘hair_cassleworldbackup,’ among others.

FIJ dialed the phone number on the vendor’s page, but it was switched off. A text sent had not been responded to at press time.
