22.09.2023 Featured JUST IN: Terrorists Attack Zamfara Varsity, Abduct Students

Terrorists have attacked the Federal University Gusau (FUG), in Zamfara State.

According to reports, no fewer than 24 students were abducted in the raid which occurred around 3 am on Friday.

The terrorists were also said to have opened fire on some security agents who tried to foil the attack.

In August, eight youth corps members who were travelling to their places of primary assignment were abducted in the same state.

FIJ made several phone calls to Yazid Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer for the Zamfara State Police Command, for comments on the latest abduction but they were not answered. The text message that was sent to him had also not been answered at press time.
