The Kano State Government has imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew to forestall violence in the state.
The order came after the emergence of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)’s Abba Yusuf as governor-elect of the state.
Muhammad Garba, Kano State Commissioner for Information, announced the decision on Monday morning.
He said it was to prevent hoodlums from causing chaos and disrupting peace.
Garba warned that security agents would not spare anyone looking to cause trouble.
