Black Axe, one of Nigeria’s criminal networks, is currently spreading its tentacles of operations in Switzerland.

The criminal group now operates as an international syndicate with links to drug trafficking, human trafficking, romance scams and money laundering.

With more than 100 active members, Black Axe is projected to keep expanding in the country as revealed via a media report on Monday.

The Federal Office of Police in Switzerland was quoted to have disclosed that “the Nigerian brotherhoods will probably continue to grow”.

According to the report, Black Axe was traced to Zurich’s Langstrasse district, where members of the group force Nigerian women into prostitution.

Meanwhile, the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) disclosed in October that Black Axe was rapidly becoming a major security threat worldwide.

Interpol made this known after it arrested 75 persons across four continents in connection to the criminal group.
