Ifeoma Ossai, an Ogun State resident, has killed Monday Oladele, her landlord.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed Oladele’s death in a statement on Tuesday.
According to reports, Ossai grabbed Oladele by his manhood and dragged him by it until he collapsed on Saturday. Oladele died afterwards.
“Men of Ogun state Police Command on Saturday 11th of March 2023, arrested a 33-year old woman, Ifeoma Ossai, for killing her 50-year old landlord, Monday Surulere Oladele, over a minor disagreement,” the statement read in part.
“The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Sango Otta divisional headquarters by one Olaleye Taiwo, who reported that his brother, Monday Oladele, had a disagreement with his tenant over the payment of electricity bill, and in the process, the said tenant grabbed the manhood of the deceased and dragged him with it.
“Consequently, the landlord fell unconsciously on the ground and he was rushed to General Hospital, Ota, where the doctor on duty confirmed him dead.”
The Sango Otta police division said that it interrogated Ossai, and according to her statement, Oladele had asked her to pay for electricity. Ossai told the police that she insisted that the landlord fulfill his promise of getting water into the building before asking her to pay any utility bill.
Frank Mba, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, has ordered the transfer of Ossai to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
