Harris Obi, an Air Peace passenger, has lamented the sudden cancellation of his flight by the company.

“Air Peace canceled my flight and in my presence invited Atilogu dancers to come entertain their staff as they celebrated their seven-year anniversary,” the tweet reads.

I dey one side dey boil. Air Peace staff were dancing traditional dance steps in my front. It’s the audacity for me. They have the largest fleet. It’s impossible to escape if you are a frequent traveler.

“What’s crazy is I booked for 3 pm; they then moved me to 7 am. When I got there, they gave a flimsy excuse that there was a flight for 2 pm. So I asked if the common sense [sic] thing to do wasn’t to have booked me for 2 pm earlier. So they came back and said even 2 pm was filled. They have never been sued or made to pay damages.”

Responding to the post, Omalicha, a Twitter user, claimed her flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos earlier scheduled for October 29, 2021, was canceled and postponed to October 30, even though she had booked the flight about three months earlier.

Unsatisfied with the cancellation, Omalicha, in an email sent to Air Peace, insisted on boarding the flight she originally scheduled. In the email shared online, she notified Air Peace that she would be on any of its flights from Port Harcourt to Lagos on Friday, October 29.

“I understand that your airline has a reputation for arresting customers who demand the services that they’ve paid for,” the email reads. “So I’m giving you adequate notice that I will be at the Port Harcourt airport on Friday 29th of October 2021, and if there is any Air Peace flight departing Port Harcourt to Lagos, I will be on that flight no matter what it takes.”

FIJ placed a call to Air Peace but it wasn’t answered. An email and text message sent have also not been responded to.
