Gunmen suspected to be Fulani militia have attacked and killed an unspecified number of persons in Kagoro village, Kaduna State.
Sources revealed that the men invaded the village on Sunday night, attacking anyone at sight and destroying properties. Some people, sources said, were already sleeping in their houses when the terrorists launched the attack.
“The marauders killed women, children and anyone at sight,” a source said. “They also burnt to ashes our houses and shops.”

FIJ learned that the terrorists arrived in the village in three long buses around 7 pm and rained mayhem until 11 pm.
Sources told FIJ that some survivors who sustained injuries are receiving treatment at ECWA Health Centre Fada, Kagoro.
The terrorists had besieged some villages in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna in the early hours of last Thursday, kidnapping about 63 people whose whereabouts still remain unknown.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Government, following the carnage, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kaura and Jema’a Local Government Areas of the state.
This comes hours after bandits attacked Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura LGA, killing at least 13 villagers and destroying several properties.

This, he said, was to allow security agencies to restore normalcy to the areas.
