Despite the restriction of movement put in place by the Lagos State Government to ensure hitch-free local government elections, there was a brisk movement of goods and people on Saturday morning.
The elections are taking place across the 57 local government areas and local council development areas of the state.
Motorcycle riders were seen doing business. Foodsellers resumed at their usual spots, although it was only a handful of them. Street urchins came out to collect their dues from drivers. Men resumed at the newspaper stands to get informed and make commentaries.

However, a young lady headed for Ajah told FIJ she was momentarily arrested by the Police at Oyingbo, Lagos, with the officers stripping her and the Bolt driver of all the cash they had on them, which amounted to N3,500.
She said the policement then gave her a tag to be presented to other policemen, if stopped before her destination.
