A Nigerian is accusing men of the Oloja Police Station in Ikorodu., Lagos, of arresting him after seeing credit alerts of huge sums of money on his phone.

Writing on Twitter on Monday, Somto said one of the officers held an AK47 while two others did not appear in police uniform.

“I have been arrested by men of Oloja police station after Igbe Lara, Ikorodu, after the officers saw three credit alerts of huge sums of money,” he said.

Commenting on the thread, Ayodeji, another Twitter user, said the officers might have switched off the victim’s phone, as he could not reach him when he tried.

“They seem to be with his phone. I just called; it rang, then was switched off,” he said.
