Security agencies in Kaduna State are scratching their heads over recent terror attacks on residents of Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
In the early hours of Sunday, terrorists on motorcycles attacked two churches: the Maranatha Baptist Church and the St. Moses Catholic Church in Kaduna.
During the attack, they shot sporadically and killed three people. They also abducted 44 others.
While confirming the incident, Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, gave the names of the dead victims as Peter Madaki (Ward head of Ungwan Fada), Elisha Ezekiel (Resident of Ungwan Fada), and Ali Zamani (Youth leader of Rubu).

According to him, bandits stormed the villages on motorcycles, beginning from Ungwan Fada and moving into Ungwan Turawa, before Ungwan Makama and then Rubu.
That attack went on for hours before the Nigerian Air Force responded with a helicopter for air raid.
On Sunday, June 19, another attack happened in Kajuru. This time, 32 people were killed.
Aruwan again confirmed the development and said the terrorists attacked Dogon Noma, Ungwan Sarki and Ungwan Maikori villages in the LGA, razing houses and killing locals.

When FIJ called Mohammed Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, he confirmed the police were yet to identify the perpetrators.
Muyiwa Adekeye, spokesman for the state government, did not answer FIJ’s calls, and as of press time, he had not responded to a text message sent to his phone.
LONG TIME COMING
Kajuru LGA is at the heart of Kaduna, and shares borders with Chikun, Kauru, Zangon Kataf and Igabi LGAs.
To gain entry into Kajuru, the terrorists would need to travel for hours on motorcycles through any of these borders or reside in Kajuru.
Prior to the recent attacks, there had been several attacks in several parts of the state. Birnin Gwari in the northern part of the state suffered an attack on June 1.
Like Birnin Gwari, Giwa LGA also suffered a recent attack in March, when terrorists killed 50 and abducted 100.
On April 1, terrorists attacked Chikun LGA, located on the west of Kajuru, killing two and abducting 11.
Further south of Kajuru, Kagoro, in Kaura LGA, was hit by terrorists on March 21. This was a week before an attack on an Abuja-Kaduna train in Dutse village, Chikun area of the state.
FIJ earlier published an investigative report that exposed some of the terrorists crippling the state and gave information to security agencies, but findings show that these terrorists still roam free in the state, aided by the same system they revealed to FIJ.
