A joint operation between the Nigerian Army and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) has led to the recovery of several items from two logistics suppliers of Boko Haram in Borno state.
The items recovered from the Boko Haram collaborators suggest that the terrorists are living comfortably in their hideouts where they plan their raids.
The recovered items include sex enhancement drugs, insecticides, foodstuffs, handheld grenade, vehicle, bicycles and phones.
Onyema Nwachukwu, the Army Director of Public Relations, disclosed on Monday that the insurgents were captured with assorted items and utensils meant for the Boko Haram replenishment.
“Items recovered from the BHT logistics suppliers include one handheld grenade, one axe, one vehicle, five bicycles, two mobile phones (Techno and Infinix) and some quantity of petroleum, oil and lubricant,” Nwachukwu said.
“The troops equally recovered a large quantity of psychedelic and sex enhancement drugs, pesticides and insecticides, as well as foodstuff, amongst others.”
FIJ earlier reported how the Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram formed a coalition to fight against the military offensives.
