Following an investigation into the accusations made by female applicants and undergraduates at the University of Ilorin against Mr. Matthew Adeboye Balogun, also known as Plato, a postgraduate student and well-known blogger with matriculation number 14/250D062, he was found guilty.

As an expression of its zero-tolerance policy on sexual offences, the university has expelled the postgraduate student. His history of molesting female undergraduates and admission seekers came into the limelight when a 17-year-old student of the faculty of education accused the popular blogger of sexually abusing her in 2023.

After making this revelation, other female students who had been sexually molested by Plato began to speak up. It was after this that the university management was invited by the student disciplinary committee of the school on October 16, 2023.

Plato showed up on October 19, 2023, at the second sitting of the committee. On this day, he acknowledged that he had sexually harassed hopeful applicants and admissions officers while pretending to be able to influence their outcomes and grant them admission to the University of Ilorin.
