The Attorney’s office had alleged that Ramon Abbas, aka Hushpuppi, paid Kyari up to N8 million to arrest and jail one Chibuzo Vincent, an alleged fellow member of a fraud syndicate.
Although Kyari denied having a hand in the fraud, he has been under fire since the allegations were made against him. He has lost his position as head of the IRT.

The group said he remained innocent of the allegations levelled against him until he was proven guilty in the court of law.
