Officials of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), on Thursday, showed their solidarity for the reelection of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while abandoning their duty post.
The women, numbering up to 15, displayed their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), chanting “mummy, daddy, vote for Sanwo-Olu” along Maryland Housing Estate.
They claimed that Sanwo-Olu had given them better pay for four years and, as such, they would cast their ballots for him.
“We now receive better salary. Sanwo-Olu takes care of us. We will vote for him. Sanwo-Olu is the only one that could do it,” one of the women said.
“Sanwo-Olu takes care of the LAWMA. He never takes us for granted,” said another woman.
“Four plus four, eight. We would vote for Sanwo-Olu. APC owns Lagos.”
The governorship and house of assembly elections have been rescheduled for Saturday March 18 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
