A yet-to-be-identified nursery and primary school teacher in Oyo State has been seen inducing its pupils to tell their parents to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a one-minute video obtained by FIJ, a schoolteacher, in a sing-song style in the Yoruba language, encourages the pupils on the assembly ground to inform their parents to cast their ballots for the PDP in the 2023 general election.

The Yoruba-speaking teacher said, literally: “Tell your daddy and mummy when you get home that they should vote for the PDP.”

“The song you will sing for daddy and mummy when you get back home is: ‘Daddy, mummy, you should vote for the PDP.'”

When the teacher said, “PDP!”, the pupils responded, “Power!”

“You will succeed,” the teacher said. “Make sure you are always singing the song to your parents till the time they want to cast their ballots. You will all succeed.”
