An unidentified security official has been captured on video assaulting an officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
In the video posted on Facebook by Ayo Ojeniyi on Tuesday, the security official can be seen dealing blows to the LASTMA official’s face and other parts of his body.

The security official, dressed in mufti, claims he has shown the LASTMA official an ID card but he went on to impound his vehicle.
Defending the decision to seize the official’s vehicle, the LASTMA officer queries him for using a BRT lane, which is restricted to state-owned commercial buses.
FIJ placed calls to Olumide Filade, LASTMA spokesman, but he did not answer them. He had also not replied to a text message sent to him at press time.
