Ehihumeme Afeisume, a food inspector based in Maiduguri, Borno State, has detailed how First Bank refused to refund her N20,000 after a dispense error.
Afeisume told FIJ that around 12 pm on June 27, she tried to withdraw N40,000 from her First Bank account using an Access Bank ATM inside the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, but she got only N20,000.

“I was travelling in Abuja and I wanted to make a withdrawal of N40,000 from inside the airport,” she said.
“However, I could only withdraw N20,000 once because the machine didn’t dispense the other N20,000, while I was debited for it.
“I reported to First Bank and they said they would get back to me. They got back to me saying that the chargeback had been declined.”

Afeisume said she wrote back to First Bank, asking them to revisit their resolution and refund her money, but they kept mum on her requests.
