{"id":174344,"date":"2023-07-01T15:35:44","date_gmt":"2023-07-01T14:35:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fij.ng\/article\/?p=174344"},"modified":"2023-07-01T19:14:47","modified_gmt":"2023-07-01T18:14:47","slug":"iphone-users-may-lose-some-photos-permanently-before-july-ending","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fij.ng\/article\/iphone-users-may-lose-some-photos-permanently-before-july-ending\/","title":{"rendered":"iPhone Users May Lose Some Photos Permanently Before July Ending"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Millions of Apple iPhone users around the world are at risk of losing their photos permanently before the end of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a report by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/tech\/apple-delete-photos-within-days-30363247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Mirror<\/a><\/strong>, photos uploaded to Apple&#8217;s My Photo Stream will be deleted forever as the feature is scheduled to shut down on July 26, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My Photo Stream is a free cloud storage system that automatically stores pictures for 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the feature stopped uploading photos on June 26, photos previously uploaded there will be lost when the album gets deleted on July 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fij.ng\/article\/report-82000-email-accounts-breached-in-nigeria-from-january-to-march\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">READ ALSO: REPORT: 82,000 Email Accounts Breached in Nigeria From January to March<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW TO PREVENT LOSS OF PHOTOS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To prevent the loss of photos, iPhone, iPad and Mac users are urged to go to the My Photo Stream album and save their pictures to the library on their device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;If a photo you want isn&#8217;t already in your library on a particular iPhone, iPad, or Mac, make sure that you save it to your library on that device,&#8221; Apple says on its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT210705\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support page<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple product users can also save their pictures to iCloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;iCloud Photos is the best way to keep the photos and videos you take up to date across all your devices and safely stored in iCloud,&#8221; says Apple.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Millions of Apple iPhone users around the world are at risk of losing their photos permanently before the end of July.
