23.09.2022 Featured 10-Month-Old Rescued From Lagos Collapsed Building

Three persons have been rescued from a collapsed three-storey building on 2/4 Oyenuga Street, Iyana Isolo, Mushin, Lagos State, and among them is a 10-month-old baby.

On a visit to the scene of the collapse which happened around 10 am on Friday, FIJ learnt that the building gave no signs before it caved in due to pressure.

One of the occupants of the building, Ijeoma, a 13-year-old, said her family’s apartment, which comprised two rooms, was affected in the collapse.

“My uncle, my aunt and her 10-month-old baby have been rescued from the rubble,” she said.

“They didn’t suffer much injuries, but her baby was affected and they are currently in the hospital.”
