Dasuki Arabi, the Director General of the Bureau for Public Service Reforms (BPSR), has revealed that the BPSR website is back running.

Arabi made this known after FIJ’s report on the bureau’s website’s inaccessibility on Wednesday.

According to Arabi, BPSR made its website inaccessible for some time because it was carrying out a site acceptance test.

“Thank you very much (for the report) on the website. Because of hackers and space, anytime we are deploying SAT in any agency, it (the website) is dropped down,” Arabi said in a text message on Wednesday.

“Today, we did that in NIMC. We just concluded the assignment and we will be up. The scorecard is not driven by BPSR alone.”

FIJ had shown how BPSR’s website was inaccessible when its reporter tried to visit it after the bureau and an inter-ministerial task team ranked the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC)’s website as the overall best amongst 220 government websites on Wednesday.

When FIJ checked the BPSR website for more information after the ranking, it was down.

“This page isn’t working at the moment. bpsr.gov.ng can’t currently handle this request,” the website read.

FIJ can confirm that the bureau’s website is now back to normal.
