Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has given an update on the present condition of his client, declaring him as being “in high spirits”.
The lawyer made his comments after his second visit in four days to Kanu at the DSS Headquarters in Abuja, where he is currently being held.
He tweeted: “I just left the DSS Headquarters now along with my colleagues after our routine visit to our client – Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Mazi Nnamdi kanu is strong in his convictions, and very much high in spirit. He extended his best compliments to millions of his supporters across the world, fans and all Umuchineke.”
The secessionist was apprehended in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria in July, but the Kenyan government denied any involvement in the process.
“Your prayers and supplications formed part of his larger request,” Kanu’s lawyer added. “Our interactions dwelt much on our professional services, which highlights remain private. May the Mighty Name of Chukwuokike be praised for ever. Victory is certainly ours. Thank you all and remain blessed.”
