While opening the meeting, which began on Monday, Tanko Sununu, Chairman of the committee, had said the meeting was convened with the view to finding a solution to issues behind the strike.

However, on Tuesday, the meeting took a new twist as NARD claimed the agreements reached were unfavourable to the doctors.

As result of this, the meeting was adjourned indefinitely.
