Mudassir Murtala, a Kaduna State Polytechnic student, has accused Paga, a digital financial institution, of preventing him from accessing his N9,800.

Murtala told FIJ that his friend sent the money to his virtual card instead of his main Paga wallet on December 28, 2022.

Although the money was sent to his card, he received the credit alert.

The Paga customer said he got a notification that he had insufficient funds when he wanted to withdraw the money.

“The money was in my prepaid card, but I couldn’t withdraw it to my main Paga wallet.

“I have the confirmation that my friend sent me the money because I was alerted, so why can’t I get my money?” Asked Murtala.

The student said he reached out to Paga customer service via email and Twitter afterwards but was told there was no money in the card.

“I have reached out to them several times after that, but they have stopped responding to my messages,” he said.

Meanwhile, FIJ could not reach Paga for comments as the messages sent via email and Twitter on Saturday morning had not been responded to. Also, its customer service’s phone numbers were not reachable.
