Residents of Aguda, a community in the Surulere area of Lagos, were scared of being shot at as thugs suspected of working with Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, opened fire in the early hours of Saturday.

In a one-minute video obtained by FIJ, one of the residents, who managed to escape the gunshots, hides in her shop, prayerfully screaming “Jesus”.

“Jesus, this is happening in front of my shop; this is happening in front of my shop!” She exclaimed. “I can’t even go out to close my shop. Oh, my God!”

FIJ observed that no less than five thugs, firing stray bullets, had stormed the residential area in a car spectacularly decorated with Jandor’s campaign postals.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed that while three persons were injured, nobody died from the attack.
