FIJ has obtained videos from a voter in Obio Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State, showing voters scattered and waiting to be accredited.

According to the source, they were in Woji Town Hall, Port Harcourt, where four polling units were situated. She said only one BVAS machine was made available to all four polling units.

“We have four polling units here and the BVAS isn’t working. Only one is working, and they are contemplating closing by 4 pm, so there’s a lot of chaos at the moment,” she told FIJ.

“How can only one BVAS be working when there are over 1500 people waiting?”

FIJ also obtained a video of INEC officials coming in with another BVAS machine.

“4 pm, and they are just bringing another machine,” the source told FIJ.

On Twitter, FIJ had spotted a tweet with the image of INEC ad hoc staff reportedly stranded in Rumuokwota Girls Secondary School, Port Harcourt, because there were no vehicles to transport them to their polling units.
