Simon Amajuoyi, a teacher, says Access Bank has refused to credit his account with N18,500 despite proof that the money was sent to his account.

He said a friend of his had transferred N18,500 from her First Bank account to his Access Bank account on May 14, 2020, but in spite of her bank debiting her, he did not get any credit alert.

When he went to the Access Bank branch at Isolo, Lagos, to complain, they told him to get a session ID from the sender, which he did. Later on, Access Bank informed him that he would not get his money, as none of their branches could trace the transaction.

“Later, I went to First Bank with my friend to complain. A manager at the First Bank branch sent a letter to Access Bank to reverse the transaction since the money did not find its way into my Access account,” he said.

When FIJ reached out to Access Bank Customer Care via their ombudsman e-mail, there was no response.
