The Independent National Electoral Council (INEC) has declared Babajide Sanwo Olu, the incumbent Governor of Lagos State and flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the governorship election conducted on Saturday, governor-elect.

Sanwo Olu polled 762,132 votes against Labour Party (LP)’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour’s 312,329 votes to win the contest.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate, Olajide Adediran, came third with 62,449 votes.
