Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App, has been stabbed to death in San Francisco, California.

Media reports revealed that the 43-year-old tech guru was found with multiple wounds in a high-rise building on Main Street, Rincon Hill neighbourhood.

The police evacuated him to a hospital, but he later passed on owing to the cuts on his body.

“Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries,’ police said in a statement. Despite efforts by first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries,” the police authorities said in a statement.

He was also a co-creator of Android and Twitter. He was billed to leave the city on Tuesday, but he extended his stay for a day.

Friends and family have started mourning the father of two, with Jack Dorsey, Twitter co-founder, saying, “It’s real. Getting calls. Heartbreaking. Bob was instrumental to Square and Cash App. STL guy.”

Although the police have commenced investigation into the incident, no arrest had been made at press time.
