An Abuja high court has lifted the order banning Julius Abure from parading himself as the chairman of the Labour Party (LP).
On Friday, Justice Hamza Muazu granted a stay of execution order on the suspension of Abure; Clement Ojukwu, the national organising secretary of the party; and Oluchi Opara, the national treasurer.

In April, the court suspended the LP national officials for allegedly forging documents to carry out a series of substitutions during the last general elections.
In a suit filed against them, the applicants had sought their removal as party officials, prompting the suspension.

But after listening to arguments from parties on Friday, Justice Muazu granted the order for stay of execution pending the determination of the appeal filed by the defendants.
