The Presidential Election Petition Court has postponed the prehearing of the election petition filed by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and his party.

Justice Haruna Tsammani, alongside four other members of the five-man panel, on Saturday, adjourned Atiku’s prehearing until Monday.

Justice Tsammani had also directed parties involved in the petition to consult the court for consolidation before the new date.

Meanwhile, Atiku, during the proceeding, told the court he had lined up about 100 witnesses to prove he won the February 25 presidential election.

The former vice president told the presidential election petition court that it would take him three weeks to present his witnesses who would prove that Bola Ahmed, the president-elect, was wrongly declared winner.

Atiku, who filed a joint petition marked CA/PEPC/05/2023 with the PDP, is demanding that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) withdraw the certificate of return issued to Tinubu and declare him winner.
