Eucheria Ndigwe, a 30-year-old heavily pregnant woman, has been arrested for stabbing Chinaza Aniemena, her young house help, with a knife.

Ben Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson, disclosed in a tweet on Sunday morning that the woman was arrested on Saturday.

“The suspect, Eucheria Ndigwe, aged 30 was arrested yesterday. Due to the fact that she is heavily pregnant, she has been moved to our recently upgraded Gender Unit, where in conjunction with @Lagosdsva, she will get adequate medical attention while investigation progresses,” said Hundeyin.

Ndigwe was arrested following a video on Twitter recorded by a neighbour who heard the stabbed girl’s cry.

According to the video, the aunt gave Aniemena a deep cut on her side with a knife because she failed to wash a bag.

The neighbour disclosed that the incident occurred on May 19 in the Adaloko area of Lagos State.

He added that the girl does not go to school at times because of house chores.

The concerned neighbour said when he reported to the aunty’s husband, he threatened to deal with him.

Meanwhile, the survivor is currently undergoing treatment at the police medical care facility in Ikeja.
